Description
Vsam[ex] and VB/ISAM
will constantly monitor dataset integrity and report the following dataset
conditions. These codes generally indicate that the system has corrupted a
Dataset and repair or recovery is recommended! Please inform your system
representative!
101-103 |
Bad Group header |
105 |
A
single partial record is larger than 1/2 group. |
222
Internal failure caused group split to create new
group larger than maximum size of a group in
this dataset.
300
Errors in the 300s can occur if some of the updates for
a record have been completed but the
operating system does not allow VsamEx to extend the file in
order to finialize
update process.
321,333
Data record sub-parts are out of
sequence.
345
Could not locate Primary record through an existing Secondary.
346
Secondary (Xref) couldn't be deleted - so we didn't delete primary.
347
Secondarys were deleted but VsamEx
could not delete the primary.
348
Secondary (Xref) update failed after successful primary update.
444
No
return
address provided by Caller for return data.
501
Record structure
is invalid.
502-503
Decode Buffer too small - Bad record
structure.
555
Last partial piece of a record cannot be
located - Record was truncated.
666
Dataset Record is too large
(> 65k).
765
Raw data read returned no data (NULL).
885
Dataset activation failed, usually because
network rights are not set properly, or the Map
file (.vom) is corrupted, or there is a problem creating or
accessing the lock fille.
886-7
Internal control block inconsistencies
detected usually indicating a memory problem cause by an access violation or
semiconductor failure.
888
Part of the Dataset cannot
be found.
1001
A disk seek failure occurred in the data file - OS
Failure.
1002
A Data read/write failure occurred in the data file
- OS Failure.
1003
The Group size found was too big.
1014
1014 An error was detected during a group split process that generated
an inconsistent header.
1234
Internal consistence error in assembling the data record.
1401-1450
Detail
Disk Error! - Identifies actual instruction failure
location in the software.
2001-2005
Group Validity check - Bad
Record.
7001-7004
Unexpected attempt to truncate the Map – Primary
data was preserved!
Rebuild the dataset.
